Marilyn has 30 years experiencing specializing in marriage and families. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Marilyn enjoys working with couples in their day to day challenges including:

Couples Coaching with Matt Stevens, M.Div. and Marilyn Stevens, LCSW

Matt and Marilyn Stevens have a passion for helping couples stay connected in today’s fast paced and complicated world. Matt is a former pastor of fifteen years, and Marilyn has provided services to couples, families, and children for over thirty years.

In addition to workshops and retreats, Matt and Marilyn also offer private Marriage Coaching focusing on the individual couple’s specific needs. They model skills and bring a unique male – female perspective to coaching couples through difficult issues.

Appointments are available by request on Saturday mornings.

Pre-marital Counseling

Consider six private sessions with Marilyn Stevens using David Olson’s Prepare Enrich program. Take a detailed on-line survey to enhance discussions on Communication, Assertiveness, Finances, Goal Setting, Conflict Resolution, and Family of Origin.

ConnectEdPAIRS proudly joins Give an Hour Network, a nonpartisan, nonprofit national network of mental health professionals providing fee counseling and services to returning troops and their families. ConnectEdPAIRS has offices located in Springfield, and Decatur, IL and provide marriage and relationship workshops, retreats, counseling and coaching.

Veterans returning from Iraq, Afghanistan, or other active deployment, interested in receiving services through ConnectEdPAIRS are encouraged to visit www.connectedpairs.com or www.giveanhour.org to determine availability or to locate other mental health providers in your area.

Marilyn Stevens, LCSW will train and certify ministers, counselors, and mentoring couples to use the Prepare/Enrich inventory in pre-marital counseling. Participants will receive a notebook with everything they need for certification, including a coupon to send in their first profile ($35 value).

THE PREPARE/ENRICH CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP is designed to help facilitators learn how to administer PREPARE/ENRICH and provide feedback to premarital and married couples using six core and over 20 supplemental exercises. Learn to help couples identify their strengths and growth areas in categories such as Communication, Conflict Resolution, Spiritual Beliefs & Financial Management.
